Refiners in India are expected to take greater volumes of US oil in the short term at the expense of Russia
Indian refiners increased their crude imports from the US in January, as if in anticipation of President Trump’s move to hike import tariffs and demand reciprocal trade. The country imported 218,400b/d of oil from the US in January compared with 70,600b/d in December, according to data from analytics company Vortexa.
