Mozambique LNG targets 2028 start-up – TotalEnergies

The gas-rich country continues to attract interest, despite security challenges

TotalEnergies is “working to create the conditions for a restart” of its Mozambique LNG project, “with a target start up in 2028”, confirmed Nicolas Terraz, president for exploration and production at the French major. The project was halted in 2021 and force majeure declared following a deadly attack by insurgents.
