State-owned PTT has inked its first US supply deal
US LNG exporter Cheniere continues to contract out supplies under long-term deals, with the latest being a 1mn t/yr SPA signed with Thailand’s state-owned PTT set to begin in 2026. Prices are indexed to the Henry Hub plus a fixed liquefaction fee. The LNG cargoes will be delivered on both a Fob and a Des basis. This is PTT’s “first direct LNG contract from a US producer”, says Cheniere CEO Jack Fusco. The Thai energy company has a target of “managing an LNG portfolio of 9mn t/yr by 2030”, says PTT president and CEO Auttapol Rerkpiboon, who adds that “by the end of this year, PTT’s LNG receiving terminals will [have a] regasification capacity of up to 19mn t/yr”.
