Hydrogen production to be ‘broadly investable’ in UK by end-2023
Storage, transportation and end-use are likely to lag production in short-term investability, the UK government says
Low-carbon hydrogen production is expected to be “broadly investable” in the UK by the end of next year, but storage, transportation and end-use will require additional support, according to the UK government’s recent sector development action plan. The UK has set a target for 10GW of low-carbon hydrogen production by 2030. The country has taken a ‘twin-track’ approach to developing both green and blue varieties of the fuel.
