Hycc signs 40MW electrolyser order with Nel
Dutch developer aims to take FID on 6,000t/yr green hydrogen project by 2024
Dutch developer Hycc has signed an order for a 40MW electrolyser from Norway’s Nel for its H2eron project in the city of Delfzijl. Hycc has secured an environmental permit for H2eron and has progressed to Feed. FID is planned for 2024, with Nel due to start electrode production for the project in 2025. Amsterdam-headquartered SkyNRG will use the project’s hydrogen along with waste biomass in SAF production. “Reliable supplies of green hydrogen are key to decarbonising sectors such as the aviation industry. We build on decades of experience in large-scale electrolysis and are excited to move to the next phase of the project with these strong partners to lay the foundation for the new hydrogen
