Green hydrogen developer aims to commission plant at Delfzijl chemicals cluster by 2026
Green hydrogen developer Lhyfe has announced plans to build a 200MW plant at the Delfzijl chemicals cluster in the Netherlands’ Groningen province. The plant will have a production capacity of more than 20,000t/yr of green hydrogen, displacing 2.2mn t of CO₂ within ten years, the company says. “Delfzijl is an ideal location for renewable green hydrogen production as it has direct access to renewable energies from its offshore wind power plants, which are situated off the coast,” says Luc Grare, head of central and eastern Europe at Lhyfe.
