The US could auction off up to seven offshore wind leases by 2025, offering developers acreage in the Gulf of Maine, the New York Bight, the Central Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico as well as offshore the Carolinas, California and Oregon, according to US secretary of the interior Deb Haaland. “This timetable provides two crucial ingredients for success: increased certainty and transparency.
