Governments not collaborating enough on transition – IEA
Coordinated action urgently needed on deployment of clean technologies to avoid decades-long delay in reaching net zero, agency warns
Far greater international collaboration is needed to accelerate the transition to low-carbon technologies and keep the world on track to achieve net-zero emissions in line with climate goals, according to a joint report from the IEA, the International Renewable Energy Agency and the UN’s Climate Change High-Level Champions. Failure to close the “collaboration gap” between international governments and companies could delay the transition to net zero by decades, the three organisations say in their Breakthrough Agenda Report.
