Performance of first commercial-scale project spurs global interest in Canadian company’s modular CCS solution, CEO Mike Belenkie tells Carbon Economist

Entropy, a subsidiary of Calgary-based Advantage Energy, has set its sights set on becoming a global leader in modular CCS (MCCS) solutions as the first phase of its Glacier CCS project—the first commercial-scale application of its patented post-combustion MCCS technology—achieves a “new global benchmark for efficiency” and excellent project economics. Phase 1 of Glacier has been running steadily since being commissioned in July 2022, and is on track to capture and sequester 47,000t/yr from Advantage Energy’s Glacier gas plant in northwestern Alberta.
