IOCs to expand production at Brazil’s Lapa field
TotalEnergies and partners expect to produce 25,000bl/d from Lapa Southwest
A consortium led by TotalEnergies has taken FID on the Lapa Southwest oil development in Brazil, with startup expected in in 2025. Lapa Southwest is expected to produce 25,000bl/d, raising overall output from the Lapa fields to 60,000bl/d. The expansion will comprise three wells and connect to the existing Lapa floating production, storage and offloading unit, which serves Lapa Northeast, a field that has been in production since 2016.
