Iran National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) will award the project to develop phase 11 of the South Pars gasfield to Total and Petronas. Negotiations between the companies over the contract's details were still continuing last month. Total has already completed phases 2 and 3 of the field. BP, Eni and Statoil had prepared competitive bids for phase 11. The $1.2bn scheme is one of three phases at South Pars that NIOC has designated for the country's LNG developments.
