Every three years at the World Petroleum Congress, WPC Energy recognises some of the most outstanding projects and innovations in the oil and gas sector with the WPC Energy Excellence Awards.
The objective of the WPC Energy Excellence Awards is to recognise companies, institutions or any public or private organisations in the oil and gas industry that are operating with high excellence standards. Companies can submit projects in three categories: Social Responsibility, Technological Development and Gender and Inclusion.
Each category will have two winners, one from a national oil company (NOC) or large business and the other from a small or medium-sized organisation.
The Social Responsibility category will reward innovative social responsibility initiatives benefitting the community or environment, involving employees and with wide reproducibility within the petroleum sector.
The Technological Development category will reward technological breakthroughs or innovative applications of existing technologies that have wide applicability for the petroleum industry.
The Gender and Inclusion category will reward firms that have established effective policies, programmes and interventions to improve gender diversity, with measurable results.
