Whenever we think about OT/ICS cybersecurity the first thing that comes to our mind is poisonous gas leaks, affecting the environment, damaging people’s health, and power cuts, which are increasing immensely day by day. Various governments and companies are taking many measures to prevent these OT/ICS incidents. This podcast focuses on what should be the strategy to tackle the challenges faced by critical infrastructures on a regular basis as new vulnerabilities and threats emerge.

Meet the Speakers

Owen Rooney Vice President of Sales Hexagon Asset Lifecycle Intelligence Owen Rooney leads Hexagon’s OT Cyber Security team in Europe. He has served a variety of technical and commercial roles with companies in the Industrial Control System market. With Hexagon’s acquisition of PAS OT Cyber Security his focus is on helping Oil & Gas, Chemical & Process Industries and expanding their presence across the region. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Management and an MA in Marketing from Queen’s University Belfast.

Syed M. Belal Director – OT Cybersecurity Consulting Services Hexagon Asset Lifecycle Intelligence Syed M. Belal is the Director of OT Cybersecurity Consulting Services. Syed is having more than 15 years of experience in industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT) applications with a focus on networking and cybersecurity. He joined PAS, now part of Hexagon PPM, in 2017, after a nine-year tenure as Schneider Electrics' Lead Cybersecurity Consultant. He has specific expertise in industrial automation, SCADA, control, and safety systems often used in critical infrastructure.
