In celebration of International Women’s Day, Women in Hydrogen 50 proudly announces the opening of nominations for its 2025 honourees, recognising female excellence in the global hydrogen sector.

Hosted by Gulf Energy Information, publisher of Hydrogen Economist and H2Tech, this prestigious programme honours 50 outstanding women who are driving advancements in hydrogen innovation, policy, technology and business.

The Women in Hydrogen 50 is a global platform to amplify the contributions of female leaders shaping the future of clean energy. This year’s honourees will be celebrated in October at the Women’s Global Leadership Conference in Energy (WGLC) in Houston, Texas—the energy industry’s largest conference dedicated to the advancement of women in leadership.

“International Women’s Day is about recognising and elevating the voices of women making an impact, and there is no better moment to launch the 2025 nominations,” said Rachel McGhie, conference director, Gulf Energy Information. “This programme highlights the leaders shaping the next generation of hydrogen energy.”

Nominations are open across five categories, ensuring a broad representation of the hydrogen industry:

  • Projects and partnerships
  • Technology and innovation
  • Policy and regulation
  • Industrial use and switching
  • Rising stars

To ensure the Women in Hydrogen 50 upholds the highest standards, the Advisory Board will review all nominations and oversee the selection process. This year’s board includes:

  • Jillian Evanko, president & CEO, Chart Industries
  • Anastasija Kuprijanova, director of maritime business development, Amogy
  • Shirley Oliveira, vice president of H2 & CCS Regulatory Affairs, BP
  • Carina Radford, partner, White & Case LLP
  • Corinne Ribbons, international policy advisor on green hydrogen, Chile’s Ministry of Energy.

Nominations are open from 8 March 2025 to 8 May 2025, and can be submitted via the official WGLC website.
