Queensland signs export deal with Rotterdam
Dutch port looks to grow imports and production in effort to become major trading hub
The Australian state of Queensland has signed a deal to export 20mn t/yr of hydrogen to the Port of Rotterdam by 2050. Queensland has built a 2GW/yr electrolyser plant in Gladstone and is home to the H2 Hub project. The 3GW project was recently granted major project status by the state government. It aims to produce 5,000t/d of green ammonia from early 2024.
