Plan aims to reduce green hydrogen costs to $1.7/kg by 2030, which would make it competitive with cost projections in the Middle East and Chile
Colombia has released its $2.5bn national hydrogen strategy, targeting 1GW of green hydrogen production capacity and 50,000t/yr of blue hydrogen production by 2030. The strategy aims to reduce green hydrogen costs to $1.7/kg by 2030, which would make it competitive with cost projections in the Middle East and Chile. The country will also develop a fleet of 1,500-2,000 hydrogen fuel-cell light electric vehicles and 1,000-1,500 heavy vehicles to stimulate domestic demand.
