H-TEC systems launches PEM gigahub in Germany
Electrolyser manufacturer owned by MAN Energy Solutions and Volkswagen aims to slash production time as it moves to automated facility in Hamburg
German electrolyser manufacturer H-TEC Systems will relocate to a new facility in the north German port city of Hamburg at the end of September, aiming to achieve annual production of 5GW of proton-exchange-membrane (PEM) stacks. The company, which is owned by MAN Energy Solutions and Volkswagen Group, will aim to reduce current production times by up to 75% and achieve “competitive prices” for its PEM stacks through the use of automated production lines at the Hamburg gigahub. “We are building the most modern stack production facility in Europe,” said Uwe Lauber, CEO of MAN Energy Solutions.
