Developer Hyphen Hydrogen Energy and government aim to finalise implementation agreement for $10bn project in August
Namibia-registered green hydrogen developer Hyphen Hydrogen Energy aims to start construction of Namibia’s first large-scale green hydrogen project in January 2025, with commissioning of the first phase by the end of 2026, according to a project update. The $10bn development envisages production of 125,000t/yr in the first phase, rising to 300,000t/yr by 2030. Production would be based on 3GW of electrolyser capacity powered by 5-6GW of renewable generation. The production would be aimed at regional and global markets.
