Hystar to receive funding for PEM technology
Norwegian startup will demonstrate its high-efficiency electrolyser technology at a facility operated by Equinor
Technology firm Hystar has received NOK38mn ($4.25mn) from Norwegian state climate fund Enova to demonstrate its containerised electrolyser technology. Hystar will design and construct a complete containerised production unit that will produce 500kg/d of green hydrogen. The company says its unique cell design and process architecture offer an opportunity to reduce electricity consumption and increase hydrogen output, significantly lowering the cost of green hydrogen production from proton-exchange-membrane electrolysis.
