Oil major files applications for projects in six states with potential to triple size of portfolio
Shell has put down a marker in Brazil’s emerging offshore wind sector by filing environmental licensing applications for 17GW of capacity across six potential projects. If all the developments come to fruition, the expansion in Brazil would represent a tripling of Shell’s offshore wind portfolio, which stands at around 8GW, including projects in operation and under development.
