RWE and Tata to explore Indian offshore wind
Companies agree to work together to identify potential projects in untapped market as government works on regulation for first auctions
German utility RWE is lining up a potential move into India’s undeveloped offshore wind sector together with Tata Power, one of the country’s largest integrated power companies. The two firms have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore potential projects in the country, which has no operating offshore wind capacity despite a coastline of about 7,600km.
