Air Liquide enters China biomethane sector
French industrial gases company to launch production at new facility in Jiangsu province by end of year
French industrial gases company Air Liquide has launched its first biomethane production project in China and expects to start up the new facility in Huai’an in Jiangsu province, by the end of this year. The plant will produce biogas using waste from local farms and purify it into biomethane for injection into the city gas grid. The product will also be used to generate power for Air Liquide’s own use and to feed into the local power grid.
