BP has joined a growing list of companies bidding to develop offshore wind in the Norwegian North Sea as part of its push into renewables. The major has formed a consortium with Norwegian state-owned utility Statkraft and Norwegian wind developer Aker Offshore to bid for rights to develop projects in the Sorlige Nordsjo II (SN2) licence area.
