German firm secures deal to supply key power plant technologies that will provide nearly 4GW to the Kingdom, securing a 25-year maintenance contract for two power plants
Two of the world's largest and most efficient combined-cycle power plants, Taiba 2 and Qassim 2, are set to be constructed in Saudi Arabia's western and central regions over the coming years. German technology firm Siemens Energy's HL-class gas turbines, paired with steam turbines and generators, will each produce approximately 2,000MW of electricity.
