Behavioural change key to energy transition—IP Week
The electrification of the automotive sector shows that consumers can be guided to make transition-aligned choices when viable options are available
Policymakers and companies driving the energy transition must better understand consumers’ behaviour and do more work to drive change across society, a panel of industry leaders agreed on a IP Week panel session yesterday. World Energy Council secretary general Angela Wilkinson said that, together with poorly defined energy policies and incentivisation structures, insufficient behavioural change was getting in the way of the transition.
