The global market for using LNG as a marine fuel is developing rapidly, with trading becoming more liquid and a move towards shorter contract terms, Jerome Leprince-Ringuet, managing director of Total Marine Fuels Global Solutions, tells Petroleum Economist. The French major is one of the pioneers in LNG bunkering and is looking to build on its position as the second-largest private global LNG player, with a portfolio of around 40mn t/yr and a global market share of 10pc.
