Wood wins Canada oil sands CCS pipeline contract
Scotland-based firm to work on engineering and design of 400km line linking oil sands facilities to storage hub near Cold Lake
Canadian oil sands industry group the Pathways Alliance has contracted Scotland-based Wood to support the engineering and design of a 400km CO₂ pipeline that will form part of one of the world’s largest CCS projects. The line will link oil sands production facilities in Fort McMurray, Christina Lake and Cold Lake with a subsurface carbon sequestration hub near Cold Lake in northeastern Alberta.
