Houston-based midstream oil company signals commitment to transition with purchase of CCS developer
Houston-based midstream oil company Buckeye Partners has acquired carbon capture company Elysian Carbon Management from venture capital firm EnCap Flatrock Midstream. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. The purchase of San Antonio-based Elysian, which supplies and owns CCS technology for industrial emitters and power generators, is the latest in a series of moves by Buckeye over the last 12 months to advance its energy transition initiatives and decarbonisation efforts.
