Adnoc and Santos collaborate on Asia-Pacific CCS
Strategic alliance includes potential development of CO₂ shipping and transportation infrastructure network in the region
Emirati state energy company Adnoc and Australian independent oil and gas producer Santos have agreed to collaborate on the development of large-scale carbon management technology and infrastructure in Asia-Pacific. Under a strategic collaboration agreement, the two companies will explore the potential to work together to advance CCS technologies and develop a shipping and transportation infrastructure network in the region. “There is an enormous opportunity for traditional energy suppliers like Australia and the UAE to be at the forefront of helping regional decarbonisation through utilisation of our natural competitive advantages in carbon storage and energy supply chains,” said Alan Stuar
