The UK government must start building the infrastructure needed for the deployment of carbon capture and storage (CCS), according to a report from thinktank Public Policy Projects titled Carbon capture and storage in the UK: Infrastructure to unlock investment. The government must deliver on its plans to support CO₂ pipeline transport and offshore geological storage infrastructure development for the track-one CCS clusters Hynet and the East Coast Cluster, the report says.
