The Dutch oil and gas sector is preparing an energy transition pledge that will include targets on emissions reductions, methane leakage, electrification of the North Sea gas industry and production and transport of hydrogen, the chairman of Dutch oil and gas lobby group Nogepa tells Transition Economist in an interview. “Fossil fuel production will be a dying business, for sure, because we know what the side-effects are, but the sector in itself is not dying.
