European Commission outlines a package of measures designed to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 55pc below 1990 levels by 2030
The European Commission has proposed a wide package of measures designed to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 55pc below 1990 levels by 2030. This 55 pc target was the bloc’s updated nationally determined contribution (NDC) to the Paris Agreement deal and represents the most ambitious 2030 emissions reduction plan proposed under that deal.
