Climeworks and Northern Lights explore direct air capture project
Companies have agreed to investigate building full-chain CO2 removal and storage in Norway
Climeworks and Northern Lights are jointly investigating the construction of a full-chain CO2 removal and storage project in Norway. Switzerland-based Climeworks specialises in supplying direct air capture technology combined with permanent CO2 storage. Its technology runs on renewable energy and waste heat and the modular design of its collectors means they can be stacked to almost any scale. Its technology can reach a net CO2 removal efficiency of more than 90pc, taking into account full life-cycle emissions, according to the company. “Comb
