Reforms proposed under EU’s ‘Fit for 55’ package will go back to committee stage and return to parliament in September
The European Parliament has voted against passing a reform package for the EU emissions trading system (ETS), sending the law back to the committee stage. As a result, subsequent votes on the Social Climate Fund (SCF) and the carbon border adjustment mechanism (CBAM) were also sent back to the environment committee.
